A spokesperson for the legendary Queen of Soul, 71, announced that she is taking a break from performing during the month of June.

After canceling a pair of concerts this month because of unspecified medical issues, Aretha Franklin apparently is now set to take a break from touring until July.

Aretha Franklin has rescheduled her June 22 performance at DTE Energy Music Theatre to July 27 at 8 p.m. Refunds are available at point of purchase and tickets for the June 22 date will be honored at the venue on July 27.

Aretha Franklin announced Monday she has cancelled performances which were scheduled for next week in Chicago and Connecticut due to "treatment". She was supposed to perform at a special Corporate Night fundraiser with the Chicago Symphony on May 20 and at Connecticut's Foxwoods Resort and Casino May 26.
