Did he lie to his mistress? Maybe he should have been at home playing with those 4 little boys he left behind. They can tell their friends someday what happened to their father. How sad. There are many possible reasons why she could have shot herself. Perhaps she was remorseful for killing another human being, or perhaps she believed that she would join McNair in the afterlife. Either way, it is absolutely horrible that McNair's family and friends lost a husband, a father, a former teammate, and a friend, all thanks to his senseless act of forbidden love.
