I think someone should remind South Carolina that this is, or is supposed to be, the UNITED States of America. That requires working together, compromising on some things, standing firm on some things, but in all things a willingness to listen to those who agree or disagree. If the Continental Congress had stayed as staunchly divided as we are now, there would never have been a Union.

The fact that these idiots would view Graham's honest, bi-partisan concern over climate change-- which ALL LEADING SCIENTISTS still view as the chief threat to our national security, and to the planet-- as "weakening the Republican brand" (whatever the hell THAT means) shows just how insane and out of touch these backwater South Carolinians are.

But what should we expect from the state that flies a Confederate flag over the Capitol, and has Congressman that show unprecedented disrespect to a US President speaking to Congress.

Hannity and Beck will lead you idiots to implosion.

Wondering how the GOP could possibly screw up their mid-term prospects in 2010? Keep tuned in to Glenn and Sean to find out...

Our republic at work with many people expressing their opinions and taking actions as they see fit.

Lindsay Graham can act like a demoscat/repub/global warmist/whatever as much as he wants but his constituents may not invite him back next time.

We need Term Limits anyhow and he's been there too long like MOST of Congress.

Glad to see you recognize the inevitable reversal due to Demoscat lies, over borrowing, over spending, oversight failures, corruption, etc. etc.

Republicans Edge Ahead of Democrats in 2010 Vote
Registered voters prefer Republicans for the House, 48% to 44%

November 11, 2009
by Jeffrey M. Jones

PRINCETON, NJ -- Republicans have moved ahead of Democrats by 48% to 44% among registered voters in the latest update on Gallup's generic congressional ballot for the 2010 House elections, after trailing by six points in July and two points last month.

The Nov. 5-8 update comes just after Republican victories in the New Jersey and Virginia gubernatorial elections, which saw Republicans replace Democrats as governors of those states.

As was the case in last Tuesday's gubernatorial elections, independents are helping the Republicans' cause. In the latest poll, independent registered voters favor the Republican candidate by 52% to 30%.

ROFL! Should we say that Scmuck Schumer is a piece of shiite because his State is Broke and can't pay the bills unless major cuts are made?

ROFL! Should we say that Nancy Pelosi is a piece of shiite because her state is Broke and can't pay the bills unless they use IOU's?

LMAO! Please try making sense once in a great while.

Awwwww....went straight to put downs I see. A weak defense for a weak mind.

The republicans cut their own throat in NY, they are siding with the radical extremist and therfor alienating the independent vote they need, and a party who have no vision.

Only 20 percent of people identify themselves as Republicans. So either there aren't many Republicans, or a lot of Republicans are trying to hide the fact that they're Republicans. 20 percent!
http://voices.washingtonpost.com/thefix/morni...

The odd thing is that 20 percent of people say they are Republican, but only 19 percent expressed confidence in Republicans' ability to make the right decisions for America's future. That means one percent of Americans are Republicans who have no confidence in Republicans. Talk about self-esteem issues! "Yes, I am a Republican, which is too bad, because Republicans can't make the right decisions. Maybe that's why I decided to become a Republican. I can't make right decisions!"

if he wants to be a democrat he should just have the integrity to chnage parties like Specter. Otherwise the peiople os SC have every right to censure someone who they thought was a Republican when they elected him.

The GOP and their wacked out right-wing base are the worst enemy and detriment to this great nation. If NY23 didn’t teach us anything else, it taught us that even republicans understand that the right-wingers are not the kind of people that should be in political office. It is a great day in America when right-wing tea-bagging idiots are eating their own and turning their imploded party into an even smaller insignificant non-force.

Best thing about the ultra-right GOP is that it assures the continuity of good government.

Daily Horoscope for January 2

Sagittarius

The rumour mill is especially active, and interesting tales are coming at you from all sides. Don't believe everything you hear: there are people who will start gossip to further their own aims and you don't want to help them unwittingly. Similarly, don't reveal too much of yourself to those who you don't know intimately - keep your own counsel.
