Sen. Kennedy hospitalized with symptoms of stroke

Sen. Edward M. Kennedy was hospitalized Saturday after becoming ill at his home, his office said.

A knowledgeable official said the Massachusetts Democrat was in the hospital after suffering stroke-like symptoms. The official declined to be identified by name, citing the sensitivity of the events.

I remember the bridge incident. I was in France and the Tour de France coverage was interrupted for reports of Teddy's folly. My hosts were Basque/French and didn't speak a word of English, and I wasn't that well versed in French argot.
But their response was the same as most--a lying, murdering drunk.
