I do not believe that the spouse should be held to the same high standard of responsibility for every word spoken that the candidate himself is held to. I'm ashamed that it is the Tennessee GOP that is doing this to Michelle Obama. I think more of us will vote Obama to say "Sorry."

I know that small town America is already pissed off that obama & his spiritual advisor of 20 years have repeatedly insulted them!!!

It's not as if Mrs. Obama was sitting at home and a reporter came to her door and baited her into making questionable comments. She's out on the campaign trail, making speeches. Makes her fair game for political commentary on the content of those speeches. Sorry, Sen. Obama, you can't have it both ways. When the Clintons were in, they said Chelsea should be left out of the political arena. But they didn't use her for political purposes either. I hate to say it, but that was fair.

I don't think so either. I think enough smart Americans will come out and vote for McCain to stop him from being elected. I know I won't refer to him as Mr. President and Michelle certainly won't be the first lady in my opinion.
