Egg McMuffin inventor dies at 89
Herb Peterson, who invented the ubiquitous Egg McMuffin as a way to introduce breakfast to McDonald's restaurants, has died, a Southern California McDonald's official said Wednesday. He was 89.

No, a localized version, served in Kentucky: they also had one with country ham, my number 2 favorite...in the food service industry the McMuffin was regarded as an fact of genius; for the overeaters, one supposes it could be a source of self inflicted cholesterolic sabotage -- one wonders if a Babe Ruth could eat 29 Egg McMuffins, as he once did hot dogs, and still hit a home run or two |
