Earthquakes salvage 1-1 draw with Galaxy

Chris Wondolowski's goal in the 66th minute drew the San Jose Earthquakes even with the Los Angeles Galaxy for a 1-1 tie in the final California Clasico of the season on Sunday. Jordan Stewart assisted on the tying score, slotting a pass through a group of Galaxy defenders to find Wondolowski open near the far post.

Portland Timbers came from behind twice against fellow playoff contenders San Jose Earthquakes to share the points in a 3-3 draw. After enduring an opening twenty minutes of pressure from the Timbers, where they attempted 10 shots and forced 7 corners, San Jose took a 1-0 lead against the run of play in the 21st minute through Chris Wondolowski after a goalmouth scramble, then doubled it soon after half time when Cordell Cato took advantage of confusion in the Timbers'' defense.
