Recap: Spirit finally score, but settle for draw with Sky Blue FC

Despite breaking an NWSL record goalscoring drought, the Washington Spirit closed their 2018 season out with a 1-1 draw against Sky Blue FC . A game that was moved to Sunday morning after lightning forced a move from the originally scheduled Saturday night start time saw the visitors waste a first half penalty kick before Arielle Ship gave the Spirit their first goal since July 7th.
