My advice to Mr. Root: Get into to real estate sales, and then you will have the proper experience and connections to re enter politics. Remember, most people have short memories!

Root how did you make your money...oops I forgot from gamblers! So you are not afraid to take someone's money, even when they are down and out. And you're proud of that? I'll save my vote for someone worthy...

Wayne didn't take bets. He made calls on game results to gamblers who were already wagering. And, people who took his advice usually made money doing it. This is an unfair comment to make about a perfectly nice and honorable man. |

Root "closed" his business? Ha Ha. He is still selling picks to people. His business is far from closed. Go to winningedge.com - does that look closed? Shame on the Park Record for such a terrible mistake. It would have taken 2 seconds to confirm this but instead, they print something patently false.
And unfortunately for those people, he doesn't usually win. He usually loses. This guy ran his business into the ground. His sports handicapping business, Winning Edge, lost every penny of the $10M investors put into it. He was a horrible business person (although good marketer). We can't allow this guy to get near running anything important given his track record. |

|
Actually, Root did close his office in Vegas. Winning Edge only exists in cyberspace -- and has one employee.
|
||||
Then he hasn't closed his business. He has fired his staff. But the statement ad written is incorrect. |

Sounds like a real stand-up kinda guy - just the person I want in charge of decision that affect my life. And he has the support of an aging professional poker player who, at such an advanced age, has lifetime winnings of less than $250k - not exactly impressive. Thanks, Park Record, for helping expose this sleaze-ball for what he really is. His neighbors in Dear Valley may want to start cutting a very wide path around his door, lest they get slimed.
