I am disappointed in Senator, John Tanner for not voting for Health Care. I will not forget this. There are many without Health Care in your own State, mostly poor I heard on the news that Blue Cros and other insurance companies have paid you money for your campigne. I really thought you cared.

Rebecca,
I'm glad he voted against it. I would like to see reform in the health care but, not government run. Ask you're self this question, when has the government ran anything without so much waste and corruption? Add to health care reform, judicial reform, to stop all the frivolous law suits that are filed. That does not mean all lawsuits. That would save us a lot of money in health care cost.

We need to help make insurance more affordable, but not by forcing a government program on Americans. The government does not care about efficiency or quality. The ability to shop for individual coverage allows competition and ensures the lowest rate. Keep in mind that health insurance is expensive, but that is also because the cost of delivering care has gone up. Twenty years ago, most people didn't do things like PSA tests, Mammograms, Colonoscopies, etc... now that the baby boomers are getting older, they are utilizing more of these types of services. Cancer and diabetes affects many Americans as well. As our baby-boomers age and fewer young people purchase a plan, the costs fall to those responsible enough to carry a policy.

What if you don't carry a policy? Are you safer?

you sound very young and you probably do not make a large salary yet and in 15 or twenty years when you have finally clawed your way to the top and your paying a 50 or 60 percent federal tax rate you will not be so quick to expound the liberal democrat ideals as you see more than half of your salary going out the window to pay for the health care of someone who has chosen not to work.the facts of life are you get what you can afford if you choose not to be a productive member of society you live within your means

if you are very young ( 20-28) not married have a job and are in good health and not married then you can get away only carrying major medical. it will be cheaper in the long run than carrying more traditional insurance. how many times will you see the doctor once or twice a year it's cheaper to write a check.having major medical will protect you in case you have (god forbid) a catastrophic illness. when you get married and start having kids it's time for blue cross

yes you can in fact it's a great deal here is what you do

commit and attempt murder( don't kill anybody just try to)
plea guilty
you will get 25 to life
after 25 years you will be eligible for parole
tell the parole board to stick it where the sun don't shine
for the rest of your life you will get three hots and a cot free medical and dental
of course by this time you've become the bitch of some guy named bubba
but hey taking it up the ass 3 or 4 time a week is certainly worth free medical care

I support Congressman Tanner's "NO" vote. 85% of americans have healthcare and 5 out of 6 of them are satisfied with their plan. Why in the hell would anyone want to reform that to satisfy the 15%. Obama has an agenda and that is to tear down this country because of some self sense of injustice to his race.

Mr. Tanner,

I support your No vote. This is not at all what this country needs to improve health care.

I am glad that he voted against the current plan. We do need something, but everyone one must pay something, govt needs to oversee private health insurance and assist in formulating a private co-op or like item. You can see that I said oversee, monitor, set rules etc... NOT run it.
For all those who see it as free, it will never be free, the health care may be free, but you will pay for it on the tail in. If the large tax payers, who will get soaked for it are mostly business people, they make products, most businesses, ie Bus 101, will pass on increases in production of products and services onto the consumer..this includes the everything from milk jugs, to soda, to pencils and clothing, so people who see it free,,its really not...there is nothing for free,,there is always a opportunity costs involved or hidden costs,,just may not be up front,,but oh it will be there.

Thank you very much Mr.Tanner for being against the government healthcare bill. The government can't pick their noses right so how in hell can they run healthcare ? They can't. This bill is DOA, thank God.
