The people it would be devastating for are the big industrial farmers. We no longer have the small family farms that politicians try to tell us they are supporting. They are supporting the big companies and taking lobby money from them.

70% of Kansas electricity comes from Coal. To put a Cap'n Trade Tax on our coal-fired generators would be devestating to Kansas.

What upsets me is that Dennis Moore (D-KS) was the only Representative from Kansas to vote "YEA" for the Cap'n Trade Tax.

Also efforts to build an 895-megawatt, coal-fired generator near Holcomb, KS was approved by Governor Parkinson, and no sooner had this 'Bill' been passed in Congress, the EPA comes in and puts a 'HALT' on the project. This Cap'n Trade isn't a 'Bill', yet the EPA comes in and pulls the plug on the Economic Development of Kansas. I know of no better time to stand up and say 'NO' to Government intrusion.

It will be devestating to 'Everyone' in Kansas. What affects the 'Farmers', affects the 'Consumer'.

It will also be devestating to your 'Electric' Bill. It will 'Hurt' the Midwest States the most, and to think Congressman Dennis Moore(D-KS) was the only 'Representative' from not only Kansas, but from the whole Midwestern Area to vote "YEA" for Cap'n Trade. Unbelievable.
