Boren had not put ANY town hall meetings on his recess schedule, he instead went on overseas trips on our buck. Pressure from phone calls and emails pushed him into doing his job and listen to the people.

Just wish I was able to go to the one in Pryor. Nonetheless, I do hope that those that do go, really hold his feet to the fire on why he voted for money's that go to the off-shore bankers.

From what I have readied and heard from people who know it is around one dollar to us for every 30 to the bankers. Furthermore, why illegal's will be able to get free health care when those of us that are citizens have to pay?...

Again why these boards of people that will be making decisions on your health care are not made up of people why are not elected being appointed to this decision board. etc.

I would love to go to this meeting. But I have to work my second job to pay off the medical bills that the insurance company would not cover. Silly things like, Oh, I dont know, CHEMO Therapy!

I just heard a live interview from a women named LuLu, who is opposed to health care reform. I am shocked at the complete crap lies that came out of her mouth.
Before you start spewing your rhetoric let me tell you this PATRIOT voted for Bush twice and McCain in this last election. But even I know for a fact that health care reform has got to happen. So if the 5 proposals count them 1,2,3,4,5 If they are not worth the paper they are printed on, FINE, then lets put our heads together and get this figured out.
And I swear by GOD I will not vote for coburn or inhoffe ever again!

We need to hold there feet to the fire and demand answers for tax free insurance companies and why they can pick and choose who they will insure. Why has AIG received more money than the average tax payer from the combined stimulas. Will the bonuses proposed by CITY BANK be allowed and if so why. They are proposing 98 million for a trader and 30 million for another trader. Will the tax free accounts held over seas be prosecuted and why not. Will the companies that are being paid to ship work over seas continue to do so.

It is the Muskogee Civic Center, not the Community Center. That may confuse some people. We are located at the corner of 5th St. and Okmulgee.

Another useless politician from Illinois:

U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin defended his decision Thursday to not participate in town hall meetings regarding health care reform, saying the outbursts that have marred others are “not constructive.”
Durbin, back in his hometown of Springfield for the unveiling of the newest penny honoring Abraham Lincoln, said the yelling, pushing and shoving that has erupted in other parts of the nation are part of a strategy by those opposed to reforms.
“I don’t think that really serves the purpose of informing the public and answering their questions honestly,” Durbin said.“It doesn’t help.”
Rather than participate in a town hall-style public session to discuss President Barack Obama’s push for an overhaul of health care, Durbin has held six meetings with health care officials.
He said those meetings, including one in Decatur on Wednesday, have led to meaningful and cordial debate.

Say what you want about Dan, but it does seem like he understands that he represents this district and not his Democratic leadership. I would love it if he would change parties. Probably won't happen, but at least we can be proud that he is not a blind follower.

I agree with you. I will never vote for Coburn or Inhofe and now I am going to campaign against Boren too. He does not even know what is in the Bill because he has not even looked at it and he says, "I am going to vote no." He is not the man that was voted in. He is not even a woman. He is straddling the fence because he is afraid someone will ask him something that will make him cry.

I would take Medicare. If the public option is like Medicare, I would take it in a heart beat. My Mom has it and she is 86 years old and has had MRI'S sometimes 3 a week and every thing has been paid in full. These people that are against it, I am guessing do not even have insurance. They are just afraid they will have to pay for something. Well, I am tired of paying other people's medical bills. Give me a break!!!! And down with Boren.....

Who believes in them? Not intelligent people for sure. I have not changed my mind one little bit about President Obama and AARP. I am still right there and for health reform and for the Public Option because I am intelligent and understand the law. A lot of these people embarrass me because so many of youj sound like a bunch of dumbies and rednecks. Watch yourselves. We can make a comedy and give all of us a laugh over you. Your statement is confusing. You like that your mother has Medicare and you would like something like that too? Who do you think pays for Medicare? You said you're tired of paying other peoples medical bills. Who do you think is going to be paying medical bills of the people who have this government medical care? I hope you don't like a certain doctor because you will not have a choice. See Canada and Europe's medical system. Why do you think people come here?

If you live in Dan Boren's Congessional District (that's for the US House of Representatives), you don't even live in Tulsa County.

If you live in the city of Tulsa, you probably live in John Sullivan's district.

Why doesn't Dan Boren just register in the Republican Party? He votes with them most of the time and apparently it doesn't take much to scare him either.

A lady I know went for a gastric bypass surgery. They thought she was paying cash and told her it would be $25,000 and when she told them she had insurance, it went up to $41,000. Do you think this is right? Who do you think did this? The insurance company. They have to be stopped. And I don't mind paying taxes for the elderly or people who cannot afford insurance. If everyone has insurance, it will bring the cost down. My boss pays for my insurance. I should not care about anyone else. But I do because I am affiliated with the legal system and I know how it truly works. But I could not get medical care that I truly needed for about 6 months because of a pre-existing condition, and now I have a frozen shoulder. Wait until it hits home, and then you will wish otherwise, I promise you. HEALTH REFORM NOW!!!!

The online petitions are not the only culprit, and critics say the White House still has some explaining to do.

Several people who received the White House e-mails have told FOX News they're not members of any organization and have not been advocating for any cause. And they're puzzled over how the White House got their information.

"I find it very disturbing and a little scary to say the least," said Sarah Griffith, who got a widely circulated e-mail on health care reform from senior adviser David Axelrod last week. "I have no idea how they got my e-mail address, and they have it."

Just like the Clinton FBI files, it is clear Obama and his group of thugs also have privacy issues. This is illegal and against federal law. Impeach.

One of the people at Dan Boren's Town Hall Meeting shown live on News On 6 during the 8:00 AM hour brought up the Ten Commandments and not having prayer and Bible reading in public schools.

It is interesting that so many of the people in Oklahoma don't even know the history of public schools in the USA.

When they took the local schools out from under the authority of the local churches, the churches as religious organization lost all of their authority over the schools which became public schools and supported by taxes instead.

The Walnut Grove Community Church in the TV series "Little House on the Prairie" was used as the local community school. Walnut Grove is a real place.

In Walnut Grove, the church board and the school board were the very same people. And ... the pastor of the church had authority over what was taught in the school held in HIS church. He was like the teacher's principal.

Most of the parents who want prayer and Bible reading in the public schools where their children attend DO NOT even pray with their children at home every day and they don't read and study the Bible with them at home every day either.

Dan Boren seems to be doing just like Brad Carson did when Carson decided to run for a seat in the US Senate. Carson basically became a DINO (Democrat in name only) when he campaigned.
