Vitter should have resigned when the news came out that he was on the client list for the D. C. madam. It is very funny that the so-called family values party does not bother to denounce Vitter, or run someone against him in the 2010 GOP primary. they were quick to find someone to run against Specter, because of how he voted - but not to find any strong opponent to Vitter in his primary. They were quick to support the conservative in the New York Congressional District, when the GOP party leaders selected a woman who is clearly a moderate-to-liberal Republican, as their nominee. I guess prostitution is not as shocking as gay rights, for some folks. It is interesting when folks pick out a scapegoat to attack - and leave others mostly uncriticized. The right-wing GOP nuts picked out Sanford to attack - but little or nothing is said in criticism of the adulterers McCain, Gingrich, Guiliani, and Ensign.
