A Workington care group is holding a series of fund-raising events so it can throw its patients a Christmas party.
The claims comes in the wake of a major report published by the Cumbria Commission on Welfare Reform, which called for the abolition of the tax.
George Stephenson, 38, of St Mary's Court in Workington and Alan Kendrick, 37, of Brisco Mount in Egremont, both pleaded guilty to breaking into an address in Shore Road in June.
