A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life after a family home was targeted.

Liam Sinclair and his sisters Kayleigh, 17, and Leoni, 14, were asleep in their house in Windermere Road, Westlea, Seaham, when they were woken by two men who spotted the blaze.

Fire officers received a call just after 11.45pm on Monday reporting flames coming from the rear garden of a house in Windermere Road, in Seaham.
