Dramatic moment coastguard save woman from the roof of her submerged car after she gets stranded on the beach as the tide comes in She had become stranded on a beach on the Cumbrian coast as the tide was coming in and was forced to climb to the top of her car to avoid drowning and to escape rising sea water between Mawbray and Beckfoot. The lifeboat, as well as Maryport Inshore Rescue, Maryport Coastguard Search and Rescue Team and Cumbria Police were alerted to the incident by the UK Coastguard at 10.41am on Saturday.
