A fire which spread from a courtyard into a house via an external vent was tackled by fire crews from North Cornwall.

One fire crew from Holsworthy, two from Launceston and the water carrier from Barnstaple, attended the scene at around 4.22pm. The hay bales were placed against a barn and crews were worried the fire would quickly spread to the outbuilding.
Launceston firefighters help to tackle Devon blaze
The crew joined firefighters from across Devon after 1,000 wooden pallets and approximately 500 litres of fuel caught alight at Haye Down, between Chillaton and Tavistock late last night.
