Summer arrives on Bute - on the ferry, at least...
Caledonian MacBrayne's summer 2014 timetables and fares on services to Bute and throughout the west coast of Scotland take effect from today .
"Baton should come to Royal Burgh of Rothesay"
An island resident has voiced his disappointment that Bute is not to be included in the route taken by Commonwealth baton-bearers, given that its main town of Rothesay is a Royal Burgh.

Jazz gig to start Bute's new musical year
The Tim Saul Quintet will be joined by Robert Henderson on trumpet and other guest artists at the 'New Year Jazz' gig at the Victoria Hotel in Rothesay on January 2. This pic was taken at the same venue on Robert's last guest appearance on Bute in October.
Skerryvore hold workshop for Achievement Bute youngsters
