POLICE are urging drivers to be careful out on the country's roads after emergency services had to deal with three tragic accidents that claimed the lives of four people.

Two men have died following a road smash on the A83 near to Cairndow, next to Loch Fyne, Argyll and Bute.

They used to be seen as the poor relations of exotic lobsters. Now chefs are rediscovering the meaty, sweet delicacy from the Scottish lochs.

Some streets in Edinburgh were affected by flooding, hail storms were seen in the west and flood waters swept debris across a stretch of the A7.

And the town with the fewest failures is Campbeltown in Argyll, where 87 out of 120 trainees succeeded - a pass rate of 72.5 per cent.
