Impassable roads are preventing NIE crews from accessing faults
ELECTRICITY crews were last night working through the hours of darkness to repair faults across the east of Northern Ireland after the largest snowfall for years left tens of thousands of properties without power.
29,000 homes without power after snow
Power has been restored to 6,000 homes in Northern Ireland, however 29,000 remain without supply after a snowstorm caused the worst regional power cuts in 15 years - while around 1,000 customers are without water.
POLICE are investigating the suspected theft of a large quantity of heating oil from an address on Glenshesk Road, Armoy.
New Historical and Heritage Centre is given the thumbs-up
