If you are missing Swingtown, you are missing the best new comedy/drama to be developed for network TV for years. It's bringing back viewers to CBS and couples are watching the show together, then often discussing what they watched. For once, TV is educating again like it did with Barney Millar, Archie Bunker, Hill Street Blues, etc. For those who continually just want brain pablum, I suggest you stick to your cop shows, soaps, and reality shows. For those who actually want provocative entertainment, I highly recommend Swingtown, Fridays, 10 pm/9 central.

Swingtown is AWESOME! I haven't missed an episode, including watching the Puzzlerama episode in closed-caption form in a bar with a loud band playing. The dynamics between the main characters always fascinates and seemingly implausible situations are made plausible. Except for a few songs being from summer of '77 or later, everything seems to be authentic for a nostalagic trip back to summer of '76, the year in which I graduated high school. I don't watch much television, but this is really worth watching. Now, I know what the really cool parents of my high school friends were into.

Great show that actually has a really good message underneath all the booze, sex, music, and drugs. Hopefully it catches on as it is a guilty pleasure of my DVR.
