Last Tuesday, A&E Network premiered the fourth season of "Paranormal State," its reality series about the Paranormal Research Society, founded by Ryan Buell in 2001 as a college club at Pennsylvania State University.
THE ghostbusters of reality television never actually see dead people. They spend an awful lot of time talking to them, though:.
“Come on, you coward, where are you?” — “Paranormal State”
“Can you please walk towards me?” — “Ghost Hunters”
“Is there a spooky ghost here?” — “South Park”
O.K., that last one was a ringer. But as usual, “South Park,” in an October episode viciously mocking “Ghost Hunters” and the genre it helped spawn, captured the feelings of the doubters among us. (Of this doubter anyway.)

'Ghost Hunters' premeiring a show on The Old State House
The Old Hartford State House is one of the most historically significant buildings in Connecticut. It also one of the most haunted. The Atlantic Paranormal Society or T.A.P.S visited the haunted Mark Twain House and The Old State House in late September. They were at the location to film an episode of their popular reality show "Ghost Hunters". The episode will premiere on the Syfy channel Wednesday December 9th at 9 PM...

Have the Ghost Hunters seen the light? This show was much fresher and dare I say it, more fun, than the 'usual Ghost Hunters fare.' Three cheers for the Ghost Hunters.

Donna Lacroix debunks the Ghost Hunters
We’ve all seen her, we’ve all loved her, and we’ve all missed her on the Ghost Hunters. Now Donna Lacroix, the original case manager from Ghost Hunters and investigator with Ghost Hunters International, is back and it’s not good.
Making a call-in appearance on the radio show “Ghost Divas,” Donna Lacroix let it all fly with one of the most difficult to listen to diatribes that I’ve ever had the displeasure of sitting through. Within a span of 30 minutes, Donna pulled out all the stops and in between ridiculous rants from the Ghost Divas she served up the following tidbits...
'Ghost Hunters' Seeks Spirits and Ratings
Mr. Hawes and Mr. Wilson are the shadow-chasing sleuths on “Ghost Hunters,” the Syfy reality series that has made believers out of its producers — believers in paranormal programming, if not in the spirits themselves. Despite a legion of detractors, “Ghost Hunters” is Syfy’s most popular show many weeks, beating scripted series on the channel like “Eureka” and “Stargate Universe.” Now in its fifth season, it regularly draws almost three million viewers, more than half in the advertiser-friendly 18-to-49-year-old demographic, according to Nielsen.

Ghost Hunters Academy Premiere: 'Web of Deceit' aka 'Don't be a Brian'
Ghost Hunters Academy first assignment is Fort Mifflin. So we have finally gotten our first episode of the brand new Ghost Hunters Academy.
All and all, I found the pace of the show to be a wonderful change. It moved so quickly that there always seemed to be something new happening, but at the same time it did get confusing here and there. One issue is the night-vision. It changes the appearance of the new recruits so much that I didn’t even recognize Susan-Brian for a little while. The greenish glow totally changes her ‘shoe polish accident’ black hair to an attractive brunette shine. Then when they stuck the name Steve on Karl’s interview I literally had to hit rewind to see who the heck this new ‘Steve – Team Leader’ was.

Review: Merrick Has Seen The Debut Episode Of Ghost Hunters Academy
GHOST HUNTERS ACADEMY, the latest offshoot in the GHOST HUNTERS franchise, premiers tonight on SyFy .
GHA is very much akin to its progenitor series. And, with the Academy kids being sent to investigate locations at which TAPS has previously gathered significant evidence, it's a safe bet this new group may amass some pretty impressive data along the way. While the kids being trained aren't always the most charismatic lot (considering TAPS' penchant for associating themselves with "everyman" types, perhaps they shouldn't be), it's kinda fun watching Gonsalves...a police officer of sharp wit and monk-like placidity...systematically bust the balls of wide-eyed recruits. Some of them are desperate to kiss-ass in any way, most of 'em have no refined ghost hunting skills to speak of, and Gonsalves and Tango take no prisoners - but always nicely.
'Ghost Hunters Academy,' new Syfy series, kicks off tonight
Our "Ghost Hunters" friends, Dave Tango and Steve Gonslaves, will train a new crop of investigators, starting tonight.
