Ebert Gives Roeper Comment Thumbs Down
It was set up to be a big week for Chicago Sun-Times columnist and movie reviewer Richard Roeper , but it started with hyping the relaunch of his Web site and a new deal with premium cable channel Starz , and ended with him trying to explain comments he made about the popular show he used to host with fellow film critic Roger Ebert .

Movie Review Show Goes Back to Newspaper Roots With 'Trib,' 'Times' Hosts
CHICAGO Ending a year-long failed experiment with two widely panned critics with television background, the movie review show "At the Movies" that began with dueling critics Roger Ebert and Gene Siskel from competing Chicago dailies is returning to its newspaper roots.
