Gastown builder purchases...

Howard Meakin, the man who helped revive Vancouver's historic Gastown in the 1970s, has purchased the former Meeker Cedar mill on Mission's waterfront for $1,501,000. The 1.5-acre site on the Fraser River at the foot of Horne Street was in receivership in recent years.
