Bulgaria Criticizes Macedonia Encyclopedia

"Bulgarian Embassy in Skopje has issued a statement, saying that the content of Macedonian Encyclopedia is not a result of scientific analyses and its single purpose is to collect political dividends.

According to the statement released on Thursday, "it is unacceptable for a country aspirant for NATO and EU membership to resort to terminology typical for the ideology of the Cold War era."

The approach in the Macedonian Encyclopedia is in collision with the European ways and gives no contribution to strengthening of the neighborly relations and curbing down of the "hatred speech", the statement further adds

Immediately after its publishing, Macedonian Encyclopedia raised numerous reactions. The parties of ethnic Albanians living in Macedonia were the first to slam certain contents of the publication, and reactions of Great Britain and US followed shortly after, the independent news agency Makfax said."

the funniest thing to me is that all the people that want to be as ancient as the Greeks are, all shout louder, make more noise, more propaganda, spin more, lie more, cuss more & finally never prove their points because Greek history is written in stone or as archeologists like to say, "in the dirt", everywhere you dig in the Balkans, Anatolia, southern Italy, the Levant, Egypt & anywhere Greeks settled in ancient times you see 1 or more of these 3 things (always);
1. artifacts (Greek monuments, coins, art, ceramics, buildings, etc...)
2. language evidence (names, terms, suffixes, prefixes, etc...)
3. Greek ideas/ideals (political concepts, religious ideas or gods & Greek definitions of style).

the more Fake Makis lie, the more obvious it is that they are the result of the leftovers of the 1st Bulgarian Empire

the more they complain or boast that they are the most ancient race, the more obvious it is that they're lying because if SlavoSkopeans are really so ancient in the Balkans, well the students of archeology would have proved that already everywhere they dig

because of this phenomenon, now it has also become obvious to me that the SlavoSkopeans are recent immigrants, they lack the continuity of a shared language base for supposedly being in close proximity with Greeks for 7,000 years, in that time many ancient Greek terms should have crept into SlavoSkopean & vis-a-versa. its a known fact that Greeks encroached onto the Thracian & Illyrian lands, so where are the ancient SlavoSkopean terms that were "Hellenized" into the Greek language?

even in modern Western Europe & the English-speaking world many Greek terms have been "anglicized" into English or "Frenchified" into French, etc..., from ancient times,(prior to the use of Latin & Greek in modern scientific nomenclature).

I'm willing to bet that the only connection that modern SlavoSkopean has to Macedonian is some toponyms that have survived. as anyone can see, English has many Greek words incorporated into it, for those that don't know "toponym" is Greek for "place name". modern English would not exist if it didn't have Greek or Latin in it.

so next time SlavoSkopeans are feeling ethnically conceited, let them see how many of their words have managed to make it into international usage besides "vodka" which is a Russian word

All ethnic Albanian parties supported the protestIn an emergency session on Wednesday the editorial committee of Macedonia's Academy of Sciences and Arts's, MANU, that prepared the country's first encyclopaedia decided to revise the disputed parts of the book that refer to the history and present life of the large Albanian community living in Macedonia.

After receiving heavy flak from the country’s Albanians, as well as objections from neighboring Kosovo and Albania who all disputed the book's historical analysis and accused MANU of stirring ethnic intolerance, the academy head Georgi Stardelov announced that while partly rewritten, the edition as a whole will not be withdrawn.
