Chiang Mai's disgrace

The prime minister did the right thing to cancel his trip to Chiang Mai, not because he was afraid but because he had the good sense to realise the red shirts had called off their Bangkok rally, and so he reciprocated with a likewise gesture to avoid confrontation.
