The Atomic Safety and Licensing Board of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission has rejected a motion by a coalition of six citizens groups to add a new contention to the relicensing application for the Oyster Creek Generating Station. Illinois, Idaho teams to study 'deep burn'

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho - Teams from the Argonne National Laboratory in Illinois and the Idaho National Laboratory have been selected to develop a process called "deep burn," the U.S. Department of Energy said. They will share $7.3 million to devise the process, which generates energy while destroying plutonium and other radioactive material from spent nuclear fuel.
