I be thinking that if you compress a gas IE CO2 & methane, that those gases are going to try to go elsewhere. On the other hand the solids in the mixture generally stay where they're at. I don't think that they have ANY method of CONFIRMING the levels of CO2 & Methane at the deep layers have remained the same through the years. But Hey what do I know, I'm not an over educated PHD looking for GRANT MONEY.

I suppose it's a better life that a cheesy buisnessman. One lies to his family and himself and spends a lot of time at (buisness meetings) going to strip clubs and smoking crack in hotel rooms with hooks and having them shit on his chest while he's got a wonder bread bag on his head.

Why should the CO2 be lowest during a totalitarian ice age with all the plants no longer converting CO2 to O2. Isn't the oceans the greatest source of stored CO2? Think I'll go to Big Bend and search for the cretacian/tertiary boundary that happened 65 millions years ago and examine the Irridium layer if I can spell correctly. Ain't ideological science wonderful?

Unless you are an atmospheric scientist you have no business commenting on the validity of the findings written about in this article.

The Commenters have no Right to Question nor Think for themselves. They are to Stand there like unthinking Dolts while the Junk Scientist shovel Crap into their mouths with one hand while the other hand is lifting their wallets for more Grant Money.

You may comment on the article all you want. What I said was that you can not comment on the "VALIDITY of the findings". You can call the scientists all the school yard names your little minds can think of but the science stands on its own merrits. Your passionate political beliefs can not alter reality no matter how much you think you have a "RIGHT" to.

You can call the scientists all the school yard names your little minds can think of but the science stands on its own merrits. Your passionate political beliefs can not alter reality no matter how much you think you have a "RIGHT" to. Lets talk about Reality. The Reality is.....You have good Scientists, you have so, so and last you have the Junk Scientist. Most of the Good Scientists work for the Private Sector. The Junk Scientist are Losers and Pretenders that can't get honest jobs and therefore, work with various Government, Universities and Tax supported Grants. Whatever, the Political game-plays a/ka Global Warming, Oceans are Dying, Save the Kangaroo Rat, etc., they will go along and support it whether, it is Right or Wrong. They themselves, will create phony needs and questions, all for further Studies on your Tax Dollars. They make their living and careers from the hard working Tax Payers. The Junk Scientist are a bunch corrupt thieves, stealing from those who produce for this Nation. This 800,000 years of Core Samples that need to be Studied until the end of time, making lifetime careers for themselves is just, one example of the Scams the Tax Payer is being Ripped Off by. VALIDITY of the findings....What a JOKE!

It'll be interesting to see what happens when evidence of significant cyclical periods of global warming and cooling are found in these cores.
Poor little Al will have to face an inconvenient truth all right.

Interesting that the CO2 numbers are higher now than at any point in 800,000 years....But there's no mention of the warm period preceding the "little ice age" when global temps were 2-3 degrees higher than now. CO2 was lower then but temps were higher apparently.
Anyone care to explain that particular quirk?
