The New Zealanders bowed out on day three of the Barfoot & Thompson New Zealand Badminton Open as the stars took control heading into Friday'squarterfinals, setting up some fascinating matches on quarterfinal Friday, starting at 5pm at the North Shore Events Centre. Tournament drawcard Lin Dan showed his class again but the world number 7 and two-time Olympic gold medalist needed all his 18 years' experience on tour to defeat 16-year-old Indian world number 108 Lakshya Sen in three games in the men's singles.
