Kerri and Misty will rejoin forces for the first time since they split last year The pair will debut as a part of the U.S. squad that will battle Brazil, the other beach volleyball powerhouse in a duel of sorts at the AVP's World Challenge in Glendale, Arizona this weekend.

Maybe the name change worked. Jen Kessy and April Ross came out of a large field to win their first beach volleyball world title on July 4. The American duo, playing Brazilians Juliana Silva and Larissa Franca in Norway, won the tournament to ensure the world title stayed in American hands.

STAVANGER, Norway, July 3 -- Teams from beach volleyball powers Brazil and United States will vie for the women's medals at the 2009 SWATCH FIVB World Championships as their beach volleyball tandems won a pair of matches each here on Friday.
