In the absence of World Tumbling champion Jia Fangfang , Canada's Jordan Sugrim stepped up to take her first World Cup title in the discipline , ahead of Russia's Ekaterina Gaas and Emily Smith .

Well if you ask Daniil Kostovetskiy he would probably say yes as three of his Gym's members are part of the Group ArcoArmy competing on NBC's America's Got Talent. The EAGC members, Christina Antoniades, Emily Ruppert, and Hannah Silverman are part of AcroArmy, a group of young acrobatic gymnasts that has survived previous America's Got Talent eliminations.

South Korea n fans have snapped up tickets to see high-profile athletes such as Olympic swimming champion Park Tae-hwan at the Asian Games , but overall sales for the multi-sport event are dragging with the opening ceremony just four days away. Incheon's organising committee said on Monday that overall ticket sales had reached 18% for the 36 sports as well as the opening and closing ceremonies for the September 19 to October 4 event.

Last year's Wayne Classic all-around champ finished in the top 12 at the Bergen County, NJGL A Division and North 1 meets and was All-Bergen second team on vault. Independent competitor had a fifth-place 35.25 all-around in the North 1 sectional to earn a state finals bid.

N. Korea to send Olympic champions to Asiad in S. Korea

North Korea will send Olympic gold medalists and world champions to the upcoming Asian Games to be held in South Korea, local organizers said Thursday. According to the organizing committee for the Asian Games in Incheon, west of Seoul, North Korea's list of 150 athletes, to compete in 14 of 36 sports, features reigning Olympic champs and winners of recent world championships.
