California sorority faces probation for a Taco Tuesdaya theme party
A sorority at California State University, Fullerton faces a year of probation after it held a Mexican-themed recruitment party where students wore sombreros and other "culturally insensitive attire," the school said. The school's chapter of Alpha Delta Pi hosted a Taco Tuesday event on Aug. 19, in which 90 percent of attendees wore costumes, including sombreros, sarapes and in some cases, gang costumes, according to Dean of Students Tonantzin Oseguera, the school's Daily Titan newspaper reported .
