my 140 lb dog will be glad to talk to any salesmen who come to my door.

when are they going to get the messgae that PEOPLE DONT WANT SALESMEN TO COME TO THEIR HOMES? this is not the 1920s fuller brush man. this is not avon or girl scouts or boyscouts. these are unknown sources coming to YOUR home. stay out of our yards. GET IT?

I hate these sales people... it should be against the law if we wanted something we would go buy it ..stay away from our homes........

plus lots of older kids are home by themselves and don't need these people coming to the door to sell things we don't want or need

stay away ... make it against the law

Your right! Especially in this day in age there is just way too much crime out there, people are out of control.
Everybody needs a dog today I feel safe in my home I know that when I go to bed at night he's got both ears in tune with what is going on in his environment and just when you think he's sleeping 'watch out' he wakes at the sound of a baby's breath, he's my first alert when someone goes near our cars or steps foot on our property. He's our 24-7 watchman. So unless these salesman want a fight don't come to my home. GOT IT!

This is freaken crazy. And the two agencies with the same name are not related? Ya okay. It is scary to know that these unwanted salespeople that come to your home don't even have proper back ground checks!! I live in a secured building and I had magazine salespeople ringing my buzzer and when I asked them what they wanted I told them I wasn't interested and he swore at me!!!

I'm pretty sure I had the same guy come to our home. He held a dark leather folder very worn. He was selling the magazine subscriptions and other items. My husband almost let him in. He almost let him in until i intervened!
I went to the door because I saw him and said thank you but no thanks. We don't buy things like this and sent him on his way.
It's happened to me before someone like him came to our house for the same thing. I've had another guy his age maybe it was him then too but i had a woman come when i lived in a condo in Dracut and she wouldn't stop until I was stern with her to move along.
I was stern with this guy (suttle stern) and he looked me in the eyes as I looked him in the eyes and he walked away.
The thing is and I'd like to know if anyone else saw him to. The way he walked away was kind of floppy like.
Large hands and very tall. Lanky I guess you would say. He wore a dress shirt no tie and a mismatched dark colored tee shirt underneath. Dark sort of like ked sneakers.
I do not like the idea of anyone coming to our home selling anything. Like the woman said we have kids home alone it is not safe so better off not allowing it today.
I wasn't mean to him just made eye contact with him and said no thank you and he left.
Lowell. I'm out a ways maybe 25 miles. so if it was the same kid (age maybe 21-24 at best) this is interesting because that meant he covered a lot of territory if its the same guy.
This has been an ongoing scam for many years its time to shut that door on door to door sales people sorry but it isn't safe anymore.
Maybe same Guy

im not allowed to walk on other peoples property, why should they? its intrusive and kinda scary. especially if you are a female or elderly person living alone.
i chastise my mother for being wayy nicer to the than she needs to be. actually, i think they run for their lives..right about the middle of the story of her life.
i also send her every article on these guys.

one trick is to say you arnt the owners, you dont own the house or you dont live there.

one day(true story) i was in my garden and a salesman walked up to me and said. is anyone home here? thinking for a second.. i said...no...and he turned and left.

You people should be ashamed of yourselves. You want to make door to door salesman illegal?. Thats just more jobs gone and more crimes committed. I don't know about you but if my family had no food on the table i might just rob a bank. Or sell drugs. Then you people will see me on lowellsun dot com. Saying- HONEY COME HERE, look at the bad guy!. He got caught selling drugs. That nasty POS. Thats the bad guy. Hey honey! come back look at page 2. This guy robbed a bank. Look at his picture thats the bad guy. Shame on YOU.

1. I am not a door to door salesman.
2. Stop saying "this day and age".
3. No you don't have to call the cops for suspicious activity because someone walks down your street.
G. Your whole "paragraph was a run on sentence. That's what we have these ".?!,;" for
H. Many successful people have worked at Mcdonalds.

I have a sign on my door that says:
Go Away
Don't knock if you weren't invited in LARGE BLACK TYPE.

In smaller lettering it says:
I'm not buying anything, selling anything and my god already knows me.

Been doing that for at least 7 yrs.

NO ONE bothers me.

The New Moon in your fourth house of home and family may find you longing to stay cuddled up in bed. Many of you will want to sleep late this morning, but few of you have the luxury to do so. If you can spend more time at home with your family in the coming days, you'll be glad you did. In the immortal words of Dorothy: 'There's no place like home!'
