Wow, the jury deliberated for two weeks. I thot it would be a mistrial.

Looks like he won't be coaching kids anytime soon, even if he dodges jail time.

I'm still trying to figure out why he was found not guilty on the count regarding the Nike check.

Wonder if having sex with kids is only a Misdemeanor back in the proud American States? Our is that one of those "progressive" things that makes today's California so SPECIAL.

Apparently, in Compton, if you receive a check, made out to the School District, from a major sportsware company, and it just happens to end up in your personal checking account, and there aint no way to prove dat you be the one that deposited it, it just happened by ax.ident, and once it was in yo account, it be yo moneys.

Amazing.

Imagine that will be the last check Nike will be sending to the Compton School Dist.

What's somewhat humorous about this check is that Otis apparently tried to cash it at one of those check-cashing places and they refused to do it. That should have been a hint that what he was doing was wrong. However, it appears that Otis isn't too hip as to what's wrong as shown by his child molestation conviction.

The misdemeanor conviction is a start.(totally disappointed with the jury)Just know He will do it again. But with the decision His life is going to be hell, just being a registered sex offender is a jail sentence in it's self! His life will never be the same. Can you imagine all the neighborhoods(parents) that will openly protest when he tries to live in any one of them! He can't do anything else but coach,(won't be getting a job doing that anymore)The road ahead for him will be hard! God works in mysterious ways.

its called "The System" ... yes, he has to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life and yes this kid is going to be cautious of who he trust from now on..two lives ruined, and no help was ever offered... The System at its best... just sad all the way around..

So let me get this str8t, he took the Nike check to a check-cashing place, it was refused, and the jury didn't find him guilty? Classic. I'm guessing the witness at the check cashing place couldn't ID him cuz he looked just like the last five customers that tried to cash fraudulet checks or the assumption in Compton that if you got a check in hand, it be yo money.

Daily Horoscope for December 9

Scorpio

If something is bothering you, it's important that you say so now, loudly and clearly. It's no good bottling things up any longer because that will only lead to resentment and a slow-burning anger. However, it's important that you know when to shut up too, otherwise you might overstate your case or sound so demanding that you turn others against you.
