Sometimes the road in Major League Soccer can be an unkind character to deal with each season.

Alongside their many admirable qualities, Sporting KC know how to spoil a party when it suits them.

Someone recently said that statistics don't lie, they just get interpreted incorrectly.

They are teams that just seem to have another team's number - sometimes for reasons that don't make sense in pure soccer terms.

Just when a scoreless draw appeared imminent, Zach Scott skipped a throw-in from the right side into Sporting KC's box, where Brad Evans appeared to nick the ball in front of goal.

The enrollment effort fell short of the district's goal, but the district sees enough promise to open the school in fall 2014 after sharing space next school year at Hartman Elementary.

Saturday will see the Union host the Sounders at PPL Park. Seattle is struggling and the Union are coming off of a deflating loss to the New England Revolution.

"We'd have probably rather played," said coach Sigi Schmid. "A lot of times when you win, you want to play again.
