Figure skating champion Michelle Kwan accepts her diploma from University of Denver Chancellor Robert Coombe.

Shep Goldberg, Kwan's long time agent today announced her plans to skate in Korea, to the Associated Press. The Korea Times reported yesterday that Michelle will perform two exhibition programs at the Ice All Stars 2009 scheduled for August 14 -16.

During a recent interview with Chicago Tribune's Philip Hersh, ISU President Ottavio Cinquanta provided what amounts to a bumbling if not back-handed complimentary welcome back into the international competitive skating venue. As the title of Hersh's article "ISU president: Sasha was 'Santa' in 2006" suggests, Cinquanta viewed her previous Olympic opportunity in Torino and her loss at Worlds in Calgary as give-away gifts. After leading in both events she wound up taking Silver instead of Gold.
