Wendens Ambo residents meet professional archaeologists for village dig

Residents turned out in force to take part in the Wendens Ambo Society Community Dig thanks to grants from the Heritage Lottery Fund, Wendens Ambo Parish Council and Uttlesford District Council. At least 70 people gathered at the village hall to meet professional archaeologists from Access Cambridge Archaeology , who explained why Wenden is an excellent place to dig, with its Roman villa site and other landscape features.
