I do not think Frank White should have been sent to jail. I also do not think he should be returned to the street with a gun. He was guilty of very poor judgement driven by emotion or confusion as to the correct solution. We have laws that prevent private citizens from carrying a loaded weapon in a car to prevent use in road rage situations. Frank White is guilty, at a minimum, of poor judgement that could have been fatal. Any value judgement on whether the victims deserved to shot violates our system of laws.

Now he should counter sue the DA. She's trying to look good by making an example out of this guy after years of letting some cops off the hook who really did shot without warrant.

He shot a young boy...

Regardless of his moms actions does the boy not deserve justice?

Yes he does and that justice should come from the mom for Child Endangerment! How dumb can you be to get into road rage with your child in the car. CPS should be taking the son away from her. She flipped out and had no concern over the life of her own son, hence RAGE.

I'm sorry, I didn't know you were mentally challenged.

See, the MOM had her SON in the CAR when she flipped out. If I had my kids in the car I would have taken the license plate number down and called the CHP. By the way "CHP" is the California Highway Patrol. I would have never acted like such a, well, "YOU" and involved myself in a road rage incident with my child in the car. I would have never followed someone into a parking lot to further escalate the situation with my child in the car. Doing this act with your child in the car is putting the childs life in danger. This is called Child Endangerment and this is what the mom needs to be charged with and the child taken away.

This mother, like yourself, is MENTALLY CHALLENGED!

Does that make sense to you?

So I guess as long as your a cop you can carry a weapon and use it whenever you feel someone is a threat the jury must have had an idiot playing with their heads oh poor cop he was in so much danger all he really had to do was drive away and he should have called 911 immediately. All he gets is a slap in on the hand where is the justice just because this woman had priors you really think they had a bias jury considering all the media attention on this case. So citizens of San Diego be careful you might run into an off-duty cop who is trigger happy!!!!

Anytime anyone follows another person around in a total rage and then threatens to run them over, which is exactly what happened, anything goes. She's lucky it was a cop and not a scumbag gangbanger or her and her son could be dead! Given, she was probably venting the frustration of her miserable life on the cop because he looked normal and she thought she could get away with it. I just feel sorry for the kid and the cop. I only wish he had finished the job, then maybe the kid would have a chance at life without a drunken, crazy mother!

What do you want me to do, take him to 31 flavors? The boy needs to get justice from his MOM. Not the cop, not the city, not the people BUT THE MOM! Start a drive, website, petition I don't care...the officer did what needed to be done, PERIOD

Poor kid, oh well guess with the majority of society like you, he's kind of screwed.

Me on the other hand, an "officer" of the law ever tries pulling this stunt with me and I'll blow his head off with my .45

Excuse me for being upset when an office of the law can act in such a way and get away with it. What do our laws mean if the ones meant to uphold them, are the very ones breaking them. And getting a free pass. Sorry, it's not right. I do not agree with the verdict and if I ever see the disgrace to the police force known as "officer" white I will make well known my opinion of his type.
