Rights defenders vow to monitor treatment of those arrested in Moscow

Human rights defenders have promised to monitor the treatment by the police of opposition activists who were arrested on Saturday during an attempt to hold a rally on Triumfalnaya Square in central Moscow that the city administration denied permission for, claiming the square was needed for another event.
