from sgvtribune: "NPR reports that Hasan was put on probation by the Army when in medical school for proselytizing colleagues about his Muslim faith, including saying that any among them who did not convert to Islam would surely burn in hell. "This fanaticism didn't raise enormous concerns among Army brass about Hasan's ever being able to safely return to a career counseling already traumatized troops?"

Your liberal bias has caused you to miss the issue entirely. The facts are that the alleged killer has the following facts known at this time: - He is a Muslim - He was a volunteer and received a complete medical education at taxpayer expense - He viewed it a crime to kill other Muslims (since when do medical doctors fight) - He had bad fitness reports, blogged about Muslim injustice in the world - He planned the event, as evidenced by his giving away his personal items, buying guns, staking out his position and killing or injuring many army personnel This has nothing to do about battle fatigue or is it the fault of the Army, other than failing to recognize the signs. Perhaps the Army also wants to be political correct and failed to act. We are at war with Muslim terrorists, he acted as a terrorist, he is legally sane based on his actions. We have had our first terrorist attack since 9/11 and the community organizer is afraid to admit that he is a terrorist. A terrorist is not required to belong to a group, he can act alone. As for the fact he did not want to kill Muslims, he is a doctor, not a fighting service man. As for not wanting to attack his people, do any of you rember the heroics of German Americans, Japanese Americans? Enough said, he is a Muslim terrorist.

The fear of being sued by CAIR or being accused of 'islamophobia' is a possible reason for them letting the warning signs slide.

That's what happens when the Army lowers it's standards, letting anyone in, including mental cases and felons, to be fodder..........

I agree with your opinion somewhat, bu this is not a case in point. This man is an army officer and physician. This is not the typical combination for a murder spree. I suggest that he is a man conflicted between his faith and upcoming deployment. He should have sorted this all out before he was commissioned as an officer.

The warning sign is that he was a Muslim. yes there are good Muslims but the vast majority of them are anti American-anti democracy and anti freedom. Call it what it is and stop playing political correct garbage

The "Army Command structure is not in denial" as you put it. The laws of discrimination have put s stop on many reports that should have been made. Anyone who is not white can claim discrimination when they are reprimanded for unacceptable behavior. It is not their behavior, according to them, it is discrimination. Another "law" passed is this ridiculous "Hate crimes "law. A crime is a crime is a crime. We need to get over this separation of color and ethnicity. We will never be A UInited States until we do. People used to come here to be Americans. Now it is --/American. Hindsight is always better than foresight in matters of this kind.

Army had to miss warning signs because the brainwashed legions of islam supporters who vow to defend islam at all costs would rather help islam slaughter its way thru the globe and oppress all humanity, then face the true reality islam is a threat to us all!

Nope. Trish is correct. Had the military brought up his islam-ness, they would have been sued.
