As a Christian, I'd say send the Methodists back with the ILLEGAL aliens.

Just because you're a "church" doesn't mean you're not a moron.

They want the LAW to protect families. But, the LAW they broke to put themselves in that position ...???

Illegals have no rights in this country save one. The right to get kicked out and sent back where they came from.

Even better, do what I did. Ask the church leaders if any of the money's you provide to your church are used to support illegals. I guarantee you, all you'll get is that "deer in the headlights of a car" look. I know. I did it recently with my priest. Never got a straight answer so my answer was I'm no longer a catholic and no money or any of my valuable time will be spent in supporting the catholic church. Hit them in their wallets. It's what they understand and what works!!! Organized religion is now run like a big corporation. Yank the money, you take their power. Simple if enough of us will do it. I don't care who you are, my country has LAWS and I expect you to honor them like you expect me to honor the laws of morality put forth in your teachings.

I'm all for the rights of migrant workers - if they are documented. If the Methodist church supports those in our country illegally, they won't see me parked on a pew anytime in the future. The churches are almost as bad as the US gov't anymore. They just want to give this country away.

Put them on the Legalization Bus, then they will be legal. Revoke the unconstitutional anchor baby policy, then families will not be "ripped apart".

To refuse to welcome migrants to this country and to stand by in silence while families are separated, individual freedoms are ignored, and the migrant community in the United States is demonized by members of Congress and the media, is complicity to sin," it states.

I don't guess they don't consider it a sin to lie, cheat, steal and break the laws of another country.

Welcoming the Migrant to the United States

Since when did they become "migrants?"
Wow! This is a step up from immigrants, isn't it?
They are illegal aliens...big difference.

We call upon governments and all workers to ensure for foreign workers the same economic, educational and social benefits enjoyed by other citizens," the new statement says.

The way I see it...illegals have more rights than American citizens as it is.
They get benefits and entitlements denied to our own citizens in need.

They're getting everything for free...the taxpayers sre supporting them and their hordes of babies and children.

The audacity of these people...it never ends!

Methodists have traditionally been one of the more progressive denominations.

While I reject all Judeo-Christian religions as delusions (Freud was right), I will at least entertain a sincere conversation with a Methodist.

Oh, it's going to end, Fed up in NC. Maybe not in my lifetime, but at least I'll know when my time comes I did everything I possibly could, no matter how small it seemed, to fix the problem. My complicity was not paying attention sooner. I'm trying to fix that now. It didn't happen over night and it can't be fixed over night but it is beginning to happen because people like us a telling our government to change or else. You just can't keep up with everything those nuts in DC are doing. One day they agree with us then go to another country or just even another state and lie thru there teeth.

A lot of these churches are pulling the "compassion" card. Yet, nowhere in scripture does God advocate lawlessness as a priority over compassion. In fact, scripture, explicitly, states the exact opposite.

Christ says He will greet those saying they did all these great works for Him with this reply,

"Away from Me you who practice lawlessness!"

Amazing. Churches simply don't know scripture, or are not reading it, perhaps operating under the guise of "church" and have their power from the gullible thinking "because they're a church, they must be authoritative abouut what they're saying or doing".

No wonder Christ called the masses "sheep".

So many feel the same as I do but continue to stay because they're afraid they will be making a mistake in the eyes of God and will be punished. I don't believe that!!! I believe MY God knows what's in my heart and that I truly believe that what I'm doing is right. I've found other places to put my money that helps people of my country, whether born here or legally immigrated. Hopefully, I'm not wrong. If I am I am prepared to suffer the consequences.

Of course the Methodists would be the ones you would talk to. They're the one's trying to make it seem ok for people to break the law and come here illegally.
