And they've also joined forces with the Congressional Hispanic Caucus. Illegal alien border jumpers will NOT have to prove who they
are, but will be able to participate in thie
healthcare "reform B.S."

You'll all notice the illegal immigration situation seems to have died in D.C. and that's
just plain wrong!

What does the constitution say about the separation of the church and the State?

The constitution requires a separation of church and State.

Therefore, no governmental body should ever consider the wishes of any church !!

No church should be allowed to make demands or requests from any government.

Attempts by any bishop to influence laws ought to result in criminal legal proceedings.

The Constitution states -
Amendment 1 - Freedom of Religion, Press, Expression.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

There is no requirement that the two behave as if the other did not exist. As US citizens, Church leaders and parishioners still retain the right to Free Speech. If anything the only prohibition is upon government. The Church and State have reached a fairly amicable truce to not dabble in each others business any more than essential. Mutual respect. This does not mean that they have a brick wall between them. It's that they will not intertwine to form a single unit.

Roughly, it's like two neighbors. They'll talk over the fence, comment on each others yard, but they won't be setting each others household rules. One will, however, let the neighbor know when their dog is crapping in the wrong yard.

Suggestion! If you want to cite something, like the Constitution, read it and find out what it says first. Get to understand it. I mean REALLY understand. And THEN cite it.

Legal proceedings against Church Leaders?
Based on what?
Fiction?
