Arlington remains the most expensive county for houses and condos in Northern Virginia - but the hot market cooled in May. Long & Foster Real Estate Inc. says housing sales in Arlington last month were down 10 percent from a year ago, while the median selling price was unchanged, at $562,000. There is also more on the market in Arlington County, with active listings up 14 percent from last May. Across the county line in Fairfax County, meanwhile, there was an average of about 50 sales a day in May, an 8 percent jump in activity from a year ago. Comment?
