Longtime Assemblyman Jim Tedisco was cruising to victory over Fulton County real estate agent Christian Klueg in a Republican primary for the 49th state Senate District seat on Tuesday night, declaring victory shortly before 10:45 p.m. Tedisco's victory sets him up for a two-month race against Chad Putman , a young Democrat who serves as deputy city clerk in Schenectady. Putman has thus far mounted a relatively quiet challenge for the seat, focusing on ethics and campaign finance reform at a time when candidates of all political stripes are running to clean up Albany. Real estate agents across Maine reported 1,960 sales of existing, single-family homes in June, an increase of 9.6% compared with a year earlier. The median price for those homes rose 5.5% to $198,000, according to a report issued Thursday by the Maine Association of Realtors. Comment?
