According to Larry Hajna, a spokesman for the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, the state has a comprehensive program in place, outlined by the federal environmental protection agency, to make sure there aren't dangerous levels of lead in our water supply. He said each water system, whether it's a municipal water authority or a water company, is required to test a certain percentage of tap water in their communities. Comment?

The survey by the Corporation for Enterprise Development ranks the Garden State 25th in the nation for the financial security of its residents. "All states were graded on 61 different measures covering five different issue areas: financial assets and income, businesses and jobs, housing and home ownership, healthcare and education, and the worst showing for the state is in the area of housing and home ownership, where we rank New Jersey 49th," said Holden Weisman, the State and local policy manager for the Corporation for Enterprise Development. Kentucky's unemployment rate down in November 2013 By Manoj Shanker and Kim Saylor Brannock FRANKFORT, KY - Kentucky's seasonally adjusted preliminary unemployment rate fell to 8.2 percent in November 2013 from a revised 8.4 percent in October 2013, according to the Office of Employment and Training , an agency of the Kentucky Education and Workforce Development Cabinet. The preliminary November 2013 jobless rate was 0.2 percentage points above the 8 percent rate recorded for the state in November 2012. Comment?
