Atlantic Coast Bank began life in 1939 as a credit union established in Waycross, Ga., to serve employees of the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad, a predecessor of CSX. In 2000, the Atlantic Coast Federal Credit Union converted to a savings bank under its current name, Atlantic Coast Bank. Comment?

Newly revised preliminary digital flood insurance rate maps for the coastal Georgia areas of Bryan, Chatham, Liberty and McIntosh counties will be available for residents to review at four public open houses the week of July 18-22. Douglas County continues to see a decrease in foreclosures although the county remains among the top rung in Georgia, according to data released last week by RealtyTrac, a provider of comprehensive U.S. housing and property data. Douglas was ranked 11th out of Georgia's 159 counties in May foreclosure activity. Comment?
