A recovering New Hampshire housing market is showing up in rising prices and sales, but also in a tightening market reflected in a decline in the number of houses and condominiums on the market. The New Hampshire Realtors group says statewide sales during the quarter of the year were 2 percent higher than the first quarter last year, while March sales were 6 percent higher than March 2014. Calling for a "new college compact," Hillary Rodham Clinton on Monday at Exeter High School will unveil a $350 billion plan aimed at making college more affordable and reducing the crushing burden of student debt. At a town hall meeting in New Hampshire, the state with the highest average student debt in the country, Clinton will propose steps to reduce the cost of four-year public schools, make two-year community colleges tuition-free and cut student loan interest rates, according to campaign aides. Nov 27 The Polish president's economic advisor Zdzislaw Sokal told Reuters that the failure of SK bank which cost other lenders some 1.4 billion zlotys would not inflict any damage on the domestic banking sector.
