First, mortgage rates last week rose to their highest level in more than two years - 4.32 percent for a 30-year, fixed-rate mortgage. This was the ninth week in a row that mortgage rates have risen; as recently as October, 30-year mortgage rates were averaging 3.47 percent. Comment?

A Deschutes County grand jury has indicted two people on several charges in connection with significant mortgage and rental fraud schemes, District Attorney John Hummel said Wednesday. Mark Franklin Broeg, 39, was arrested Tuesday in Lane County on seven felony counts including racketeering, mortgage fraud, and other theft-related charges, Hummel said in a news release. Comment?
