A Silver City "eyesore" may be sold and polished for public view as the Silver City Town Council voted to sell the former Golden Dragon restaurant building on Pope Street. After years of the property sitting in vacancy and disrepair, the town decided to take it into their ownership, purchasing the mortgage for a grand total of $10, according to Town Manager Alex Brown. Chino Federal Credit Union's board of directors voted unanimously in November to merge with First Financial Credit Union, based out of Albuquerque, starting April 1. But the 6,500 members of Chino Federal still have the final decision. Comment?
