When the Macedon Planning Board meets on Monday, January 26th at 7:30 p.m., one of the public hearings they will hold will be to consider splitting the former Ames Plaza on Route 31, just east of the Village, into three separate parcels. One parcel would be the existing plaza, without the former Ames store. Comment?

ROCHESTER A Seneca Falls woman, who was convicted of devising a wire fraud scheme, was sentenced to 46 months in prison U.S. District Judge Frank P. Geraci and ordered to pay restitution totaling $277,456.90. Brainard and her husband, Calvin Brainard, a former attorney, owned and operated BMC Capital, a mortgage brokerage business in Seneca Falls, NY. Comment?

The County went out on a limb , with coaxing from Arcadia Town Supervisor, Dick Colacino, the Wayne County Economic Development and Planning Departments and some private citizens, when they agreed to secure a $750,000 grant for the privately held Candy Apple Day Care in Newark. The decades old day care had been in trouble financially for years and no banks were willing to give the non-profit group funding for any type of expansion. Comment?
